If I were you, I would try to have a sit down with a professor or two that teaches one of the subjects you enjoy and ask him about what graduates in that field are doing. In addition, look in your texts and the people who are writing the articles and who are being referenced. Look them up, see where they are working (probably more often than not it'll be in academia,) see what kind of research they are doing and whatnot. You might get some ideas this way.
