Good question. I think the 80 team had a more well-rounded offense, but the 08 team hit more for the fences. The 80 team had a better rotation, but the 08 team had a better bullpen.

Taking a look at the WS they each played, and how each team fared, they both upped their game in comparison to their numbers in the regular season, meaning they both came to win. However, one can argue that the Royals in 80 are a better team than the Rays in 08, and one can also argue that the Royals stepped their game up for their Series, but the Rays didn't as much. In other words, the 80 Phils had a tougher team to play.

This is a draw, and I'm okay with that.
