You're way behind me. Don't worry about it.

Any more pictures? Pretty please? FOR SCIENCE.

FWIW There is nothing gross about that and would be happy as hell to see one like that in person.

You didn't cheat; she assumed incorrectly, and you stopped it.

Good on you!

Has anyone had religion get in the way of dating someone? by csartgirl14in religion

[–]takatori 1 point2 points ago

I've known I was not a believer--Mormonism or not--since about the age of 7, insofar as I can remember. Definitely by 12. And no, not religious at all.

If the US was able to put men on the moon in the '60s with less computing power than a modern cell phone, why is it that modern countries such as China or even North Korea can't pull it off? by PoeticGopherin askscience

You mean the awesome 3D first-person Fallout 3? Yes.

How long will it be (approx) until HDD prices come back down to "normal" levels? by kittkatt0in hardware

[–]takatori 0 points1 point ago

Since I see you already know the reason for the performance difference, I thought I would throw out the fact that database architects obsessed with speed will buy large-capacity drive, then only use the first 10-20% to maximize their speed advantage. The rest of the storage may go to waste, but the seek time within the portion they are using becomes much more performant.

When I was younger before cell phones, an hour was good since you didn't expect them to be able to get in touch with you at all.

Now, 30 minutes seems generous. ;-)
