I'll probably get downvoted and "tagged" for this, but I for one accept your apology. You found a picture and posted it to reddit and didn't realize that it wasn't legit -- Whoopty do, it happens 1000 times a day. Once it was brought to your attention that the picture was fake, you acknowledged it and asked for forgiveness. Just because the picture is fake, does not mean that your grandfather was lying to you.

Your grandfathers story may well be true that he flew in one of these and at some other point he decided to have this picture made at the museum. Memory is fluid and changes easily -- especially when you are old and senile.. Maybe he saw this picture and couldn't place it exactly but remembered the flight and figured the two went together.. or maybe he thought it was good enough to show you a picture of the type of plane that he had been on and just fibbed a little to excite his grandkid..

Or maybe he just flat-out lied about it altogether..

Either way, who gives a shit! All of these people saying you should commit reddi-kari are fucking retarded.
