Can i ask you what might be an odd question? When I travel, I like to bring goodies from where I live to share with awesome people (tour guides, staff, generally awesome folks)

What do you think would be appreciated in Costa Rica?
I've brought candy, blueberry muffin mix, maple syrup candy ( i am from New England) cookies, etc. I can bring smal bottle of alcohol, too. Not sure what would be cool, though

As someone who worked at a shelter, sometime you have to make hard choices. Do you risk the health of 65 cats to bring in one feral cat with calici? Sadly, no. But I will say this, a million times, death by euthanasia is sad, but it is quicker and painless compared to freezing, starving or being poisoned. Hard choices.

I love Newport RI. Love it. Neat little downtown area to stroll around. (stay away from the Barking Crab, very touristy and not great food) In Nh, if you want to drive for a ways, hit the Flume Or Mt Washington.

I live in MA, so I do not find it thrilling. Lexington and Concord have neat downtown areas, and there is the Minuteman State park too.
Boston is fun. I like the North End, Fanuel Hall and the Aquarium.
If it is warm out, take the ferry to Georges Island for a GREAT picnic. SO cool. Very charming. :) Mystic Ct is neat, but its been years since I was there.

Iam going to jump on this thread for a shellfish reason. I will be hitting Costa Rica two weeks after you do. But I am looking for romance, as it is with my husband. I am looking for wildlife interactions, relaxations, and a little luxury. Husband has knee surgery, so I worry about exclusions with a lot of hiking.

Will Costa Rica still be fun?
