Yeah this is a problem. I'm not sure if it's only SRS users who refuse to use terms like 'institutional racism' when they're speaking to the unwashed masses but if it was I would conclude that it's simple malice.

No, they didn't always use the archangelle names. I think the reason they use those names is to avoid full doxxing and real life harassment. A user named reddit_sux was the one who created SRS but it was taken over by a number of others some time later.

I feel BB and the moderate squad probably confound the members/mods of SRS to a degree.

SRS get about using the 'hysteria' attack: they set out to piss everyone off and when they're successful (as they often are because trolling ain't hard) it means they don't have to defend themselves ideologically. They piss a whole lot of people off by generally being awful, and aggression leading to aggression their targets feel prompted to piss SRS off (often in shitty ways) and then SRS just say "Look at these angry people! This is exactly what we're talking about!"

BB and friends at the very least do a fine job in not taking the bait, and on that level alone they're engaging SRS in a way SRS really don't want to be engaged in.

SRS basically just use it as an insult these days. There are a few redefined words floating around in the radical-whatever lexicon, and it seems they're always nasty words redefined to mean something way more subtle and complicated.

In the case of 'privileged', a word like 'advantaged' would be more reasonable. To me privilege implies there's some agreement with society that I've personally signed to the detriment of others. It makes the whole issue so personal when actually it's environmental.

I get the impression that SRS and the like are pretty much aware of these types of things but would prefer to keep their insults.

I was thinking the same thing. And on a simpler level one to twelve are the only uniquely named numbers. After twelve it's all basically stuff you can infer from previous numbers.

And yeah, at some point our number system was changed from base-12 to base-10 but we still have artifacts from the base-12 era like time or the calendar.
