choose your battles. Let her have her way and be fully supportive on things that you really don't care about. That way when there is something you want, she will usually have your back.

No finger pointing. If there is a problem in the relationship, it is a shared problem not an individual problem. Most fights can be solved when you approach it trying to find how you both can be happy instead of blaming the other person for fucking up.

Go to sleep angry. I hear other people say that you should never go to sleep without resolving a fight but I disagree. From my experiences, once I slept and let some time pass. I realized that it wasn't as big as an issue as I originally thought.

I grew up in a republican household with conservative parents so I think I grew up with a more conservative economic approach.

End of high school leading to college I was mainly apathetic about politics. This was around 2005-2006 and I just saw all this Bush bashing everywhere around me. People would always tell me how awful he was but yet they would have no response when I'd tell them that the democrats controlled the house and they pretty much passed everything Bush argued for.

Then the housing bubble happened. At that time I was taking a Scottish Enlightenment philosophy class where I was reading Hume, Adam Smith, and other classical liberals and it really got me thinking about how far left we have moved as a society.

I stopped being apathetic but I couldn't go back to being a republican because I disagreed immensely with their social views and I also wasn't satisfied with Bush's response to the crisis. I then discovered a Milton Friedman series on youtube and I was absolutely hooked.

I have been a libertarian ever since and I like to tell people that I'm a classical liberal when they ask for my political views

this isn't lame and this should be at the top of the list. If you could understand philosophy completely, it would pretty much blanket every other field of learning as philosophy covers religion, morals, economics, science and all the like.

From what I've heard, there were lots of chemistry issues with Hamilton and the other players-meaning everyone else hated him. It is scary how good the reds lineup would be with Votto-Hamilton-Bruce but who knows if the team would be plagued by clubhouse drama

I had a gay roommate my freshman year of college and there was never any problems with his sexuality. He told me that I wasn't his type to which I just told him he must have terrible taste in men
