Because the game is easy already, what kind of loser needs a trainer? :|

What happens if a level 44 plays with level 28? What happens to EXP, Mob level etc. by Rushedmindin diablo3

[–]Sibs 3 points4 points ago

At the beginning of the game my friend made up a ~4 level gap before I got another level. Whatever the system is, it doesn't seem harsh.

Conservative MP calls for anti-bullying laws to apply to the unborn by cheezeburgericanhazin canada

[–]Sibs 13 points14 points ago

Let's applying anti-bullying laws to sports too! It's unfair that hockey players have to deal with other hockey players pushing them around and hitting them on the ice! Intimidation, violence, classic bullying!

I know I like it because if I play for 1 hour it is not enough time to really play the game. If I play the game for 4 hours it is still not enough time to play the game.

Definitely agree, and I want to add that it is great that even 15 minutes of playing is worth my 15 minutes. I would play for much longer, if possible, but games that can fit in short time slots are important.

It's going to prevent "trainers" and crap, so I don't mind it. Single-player only games get boring fast for me, so playing online with friends is my expectation of any game. I think the trend of console games to not implement dedicated servers is a much bigger issue that damages the industry.

Trading DRM for dedicated servers is a fair trade to me. Obviously you feel differently.

The first time I clicked on a bookcase and saw a few red and blue scrolls fall out and disappear, I grinned.

So subtle I hadn't notice this yet! I can't wait to get deeper in the game and find more treats like this.

Sounds interesting. It's hard to imagine that there are people who wouldn't want to visit it.

Do food trucks not pay any taxes? Unlikely.

Surely the playing field can be made fair.

Can My OW Worker Get Away With This? by Swing_Votein ontario

I'm not directly familiar, but I would assume that there is a policy in place specifically against corresponding with clients by email. I am pretty sure they are directed not to give their email addresses to anyone outside of the department.

I really doubt taking a hostile stance will get you anywhere.

Anyone wanna join my New Trapping Club? [PSN] by Mastodude30in EA_NHL

[–]Sibs 2 points3 points ago

Two-way Forward is definitely able to score goals and play defensive. Seems like 90% of scoring in this game is cross-crease passes, so with high passing ratings and a half-decent shot anyone can score.

The only time you need to play any better than that is when you are against a team that can actually play defence.

Increasing Diablo3 Game Performance by TommyTenToesin diablo3

I get a stutter on my PC when a new sound is playing. I have a high-end sound card. I haven't investigated the issue yet but it is quite obviously related to the sound system in some way. Could be HDD bottleneck I suppose, but I'll try to remember to report back when I've made an attempt to fix it.

Brodeur suggests shooting at the feet and heads of rangers players to prevent shotblocking by herpmanderpsteinin hockey

[–]Sibs 0 points1 point ago

I thought the only reason the Rangers beat Washington was because Mike Green stopped shooting. Rangers would come out and try to block his shots and he would pass off to his partner. They would challenge that side and they pass it back to Green and he still wouldn't shoot.

The price you pay for blocking shots is getting hit with by puck.

I think if Green had started blasting shots without worrying about a block, and possible turnover, the Rangers would have eventually been slower to get out and cover the point shots or make bad block attempts.

It's not about intentionally injuring someone by shooting the puck at them - it's making them pay the price for blocking shots.

When I watched this last night live I really thought that Poni ran him over. Wasn't until just now, seeing this .gif that I found out he didn't.
from the boradcast angle, and most other angles it REALLY does look like Poni ran him over. Amazed that the ref made the right call.

Ontario anti-bullying bill is not enough to stop Catholic schools from denying students' gay-straight alliances: Activists by drea_houstonin ontario

[–]Sibs 4 points5 points ago

I can't imagine how deranged one would have to be to ever think for a second that an anti-bullying bill should, or could, be used against the formation of something like a gay-straight alliance.

Pathetic.

Help me with faceoffs so I don't put my controller through my TV... by CakeEaterin EA_NHL

[–]Sibs 0 points1 point ago

I play as a left-handed centre.
I usually try to start off using my strong side win. Getting your stick in position first gives you a bonus, so knowing what you're going to try is important. I hold the stick to the left, and bring it down. Timing is a pain. If I'm doing well I can usually time it pretty well so I make my move just a half-second before the ref moves. That is a win. If my timing is off I will spam my move over and over, and try to spam in such a way that one of my attempts is just before the ref moves. (Usually the 3rd or 4th attempt - not sure.)

That move usually allows me to win it back to RD. If that isn't working, I switch to the straight win, back to RD. Stick in neutral position, and then down just before the ref moves (and trying spamming if timing still sucks).

If that is balls too than I will try going back-hand grip and up on the stick to try to win it to LD.

If all of those fail, I just go up on the left stick and tie-up the guy.

While it is important to know what grip you want to try, you need to watch what the other C is doing... for instance if I am going to try and tie him up, and he looks like he is going to go no-grip I am in trouble because he'll either win it clean or push it through my legs and step past.

Something that might be a problem is changing up what you are doing, when you're already winning the faceoffs. If forehand (strong side) keeps winning, keep doing it and force the other guy to adjust.
