Nope. You don't get to define what I believe. My beliefs do none of those things. I'm not involved in anything that attaches itself to those beliefs.

"New Atheism" is full of people with the magical ability to assume, just from a few words on a page, who I am and what I believe. Talk about magical thinking. You don't have the slightest idea who I am, and yet you're willing to make the assumption that I am a member of a group you know something about ... both untrue.

On the other hand, it's apparent to me that you have some discomfort about being allied with a group of screaming bigots who dump anything that doesn't fit into their belief system into a box and call it evil and stupid. Science doesn't endow values like that, just for starters. You should examine that.

But I do understand that the radical acceptance of black-and-white thinking can mean you lose ability to intellectually walk and chew gum at the same time.
