Windows 8 drops Aero Glass by AlyoshaVin technology

I want a computer, not a phone. Windows 8 looks terrible.

I will continue to post this every time it is mentioned.

Meditation May Increase Empathy by SageInTheSuburbsin science

More than one thing can increase empathy. How insightful.

Sniper: What are the different playstyles, and how does each one fare in comp? by RichardJWin truetf2

[–]CuriositySphere 0 points1 point ago

I have much more success with tracking. I've only got a 60hz monitor, my hand eye is pretty good, and by tracking, I increase the window in which I can fire and hit by quite a bit.

Borderlands 2 Q&A by asskickingjediin Games

[–]CuriositySphere 0 points1 point ago

I called this shit way back in the days of cosmetic preorder bonuses. I fucking told everyone they'd start cutting out parts of the game for preorderers, and nobody believed me.

I am never wrong about this sort of thing.

Would it be more beneficial or harmful if certain "thinking" subreddits (ex: r/politics, r/history, r/technology, etc) implemented a minimum word count for comments? Say, 20 words are needed to write a comment? by District_10in TheoryOfReddit

[–]CuriositySphere 0 points1 point ago

No, people can express ideas very simply. For example, I could easily have ended this post there. It brings up a valid counterargument, and it's much less than 20 words.

Something like robot9000 would probably be much better.

Girl celebrates getting her degree in justice and law by posting in r/gonewild (with face). Facepalms ensue. by Dickforein SubredditDrama

I'm there as a professional giving my recommendations to the court, and nothing else.

So that's all they need to consider, then. Personal life is none of their business.

Need to outgrow this puritanism bullshit. People want to post naked pictures of themselves, good for them.

Sorry, more [Meta]- stop posting things that aren't drama, and stop biasing your titles. by someguyinworldin SubredditDrama

Doesn't change the facts. SRD is the new worstof.

AdviceAnimals attacks /r/atheism. The downvote machine goes to work on comments that agree. by DoctorSubmarinein circlebroke

[–]CuriositySphere 1 point2 points ago

I have more of a problem with the original submission than anything else. A circlejerky premise almost everyone agrees with, the most insanely stupid format ever, using one of those cancerous quickmeme/memegenerator sites, forgetting to include and actual fucking joke, and using that idiotic advice dog format when you could have just made a self psot.

I mean, all advice animals are bad, but this is just concentrated reddit.

Interesting fort design by alpombin dwarffortress

[–]CuriositySphere 1 point2 points ago

DF probably doesn't have the numbers to make them effective, and they look like they were designed to be held while attackers tried to scale the walls. Notice how holding one of the points is near useless, and how every possible spot you can climb is covered by multiple points?

You're right, they don't. That's my fucking point.

It's a useless job. They're parasites.

I despise marketing. Get a real job. One where you actually contribute something to humanity.

The scumbag meme, along with every other advice dog spinoff, is not and will never be funny.

Tribes: Ascend sees 1.2m downloads in a month by zakislamin gamernews

[–]CuriositySphere 1 point2 points ago

Not good enough. Unlocking the entire game without paying isn't going to happen unless you put hundreds of hours in. This puts those who pay at a massive disadvantage. Yes, that disadvantage can be overcome with tons of skill, but that's not enough.

reddit needs to stop going to ridiculous lengths to defend P2W.

Dustbowl is very well designed and balanced by Cocktorpedoin tf2

Nah, I've been avoiding it since well before the engineer update. It was always bad.

I'm determined to stop sucking at scout, got any tips? by cocoalemurin tf2

[–]CuriositySphere 0 points1 point ago

the only reason the atomizer is banned is because it is not in season.

That's not true. The atomizer is pretty overpowered at high skill levels. No good scout will be using their bat more than once every ten games or so anyway.

I just plain refuse to play Dustbowl. The map is incredibly broken. Nothing fun about hanging around doing nothing on red, nothing fun about throwing yourself into spears over and over as blue. One of the first maps Valve ever made, and it really shows.

Also, class balance sucks on them.

I prefer that. Most of them aren't funny enough to deserve much time. By having them flash like that, the ones that I think are stupid or unfunny aren't anywhere near as annoying, and the ones that are funny are still funny. It's a subtle effect, and maybe it doesn't work for everyone, but for me, I prefer extremely fast annotations.

Anyone else here have an aversion to brushes? by Golden_orbin asmr

I get this with certain types of markers on certain types of paper. Incredibly unpleasant. Like nails on a blackboard.

That quote isn't particularly inspiring. Not making sense is not the same as being profound.
