I'm a 21 year old soon to be Senior in college. I dated a great girl about a year ago and we had a great six months together. We decided to split because she was a year older than me and was planning to travel for the summer and likely move away.
We've stayed in contact and stayed friends since then (April) and just a few days ago she called me up to see if I want to get coffee. She tells me that she's moving back to our college town in the fall and then drops the bomb: she asked me to talk to tell me that she has feelings for my housemate and wants my permission to pursue. I still have feelings for her and I think it would make me to see her spending time with my housemate. I told her that I would think about it and give her a call in a few days and it's now been 5. I know that she was being really nice in even asking me in the first place and I want to respect her and want her to be happy but I don't want to let myself be put into a position where I'm uncomfortable and unhappy. What's the best way to tell her no? Do I even really have the right to?
TL;DR: My exgirlfriend asked to date my housemate and I want to ask her not to. Any advice on how to how to reapproach it?
